Design is for 2 Storey single family residence 1883 Sq. Ft.

Solution Specification:

Two types of outlets

VDT : Video, Data, Telephone, powered by composite cable
VC : video camera, run one RG6 and 1 cat5e to each of the interior/exterior camera location. Three technologies available, CCTV($), IP camera($$), IP camera with Power over ethernet($$$) wire for both CCTV/IP. CCTV uses 1 RG6 for video and cat5e for 12V DC IP camera uses cat5e for signal and control and have a 110 V AC close by for power. IP camera with power over ethernet handles signal/control and power all from one cat5e but is very expensive now. When pre-wiring for video camera leave ample extra length on camera end and cover gang box with wallplate.

For video cameras, I have shown one in each room. Perhaps you can eliminate two of the five camera's specified.

Parlour (1)

1 VDT at TV location
1 VC on corner across from the room entrance, at ceiling height.

Kitchen (2)

1 VDT (would recommend installing this on the splash wall or under the cabinet.
1 VC on corner across from the room entrance, at ceiling height.

Dining(3)

1 VDT at TV location
1 VC on corner across from the room entrance, at ceiling height.

Master Bed (4)

1 VDT at TV location
1 VC on corner across from the room entrance, at ceiling height.

Bedroom (5)

1 VDT at TV location
1 VC on corner across from the room entrance, at ceiling height.

Service Feed

The cable-TV service Feed/Satellite Service feed needs to be brought into the structured wiring panel. Run one RG6 for cable TV from demarc (usually outside the garage) to the structured wiring panel. Run four (4) RG6 cables from the attic to the structured wiring panel for future satellite installation. Leave ample extra cable in the attic for Satellite dish installation at location on Roof that faces the southern skies. Telephone service also needs to be brought into the panel from the demarc outside via a cat5e cable.

IP camera/CCTV camera notes

Run one cat5e and one rg6 cable to each potential camera location. For indoors and remote command and control use IP camera and install camera diagonally opposite from door at ceiling height to cover entire room or center of ceiling in Great Room, also provide 110V AC to power. For outdoors would recommend CCTV bullet camera.

Termination needed for 10 data and 5 telephone outlets, total 15. This unit provide 18 ports. data/telephon ports Terminate the 5 telephone cat5e cables and another 10 data cables on the this unit (order Qty: 1)

Six Port Video Splitter for Video distribution(order Qty: 1)

500ft of composite cable to power the 5 VDT outlets. You need to take shortest routes to each room to save labor and cable. You can use same route to get the VDT and VC to each room and fork off once in the room to each wallplate.(order Qty:1 x 500 Ft)
