Why the Bullet PlugŪ connector is better than the RCA plug you presently use.
The Bullet PlugŪ connector is a totally new approach to RCA/phono connection where every aspect of electron flow has been considered. The result is an RCA compatible connector that can improve the performance of any analogue, digital or video cable - often dramatically.
Please note the Bullet PlugŪ is minimalist in design and appearance but not performance.
What you should know about RCA plugs:
The cables you now use are made from high-conductive, annealed copper or silver wires - terminated with low-conductive, gold-plated brass RCA plugs.
Annealed copper has a conductivity rating of at least 100% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard). Brass has a conductivity rating of 28% IACS.
Because of this low conductivity, we believe brass RCA plugs act as a bottleneck to electron flow. Brass plugs may also cause phase errors and smearing through mass and skin effect.
Another problem is the return/ground collar - which can impair electron flow through:
"Eddy current" distortion - as electrons proceed to and from the RCA socket into the collar through multiple contact points.
"Capacitive" distortion - where gaps exist between the socket and collar.
"Micro-arcing" distortion - an electrical short that can occur where gaps exist between the socket and collar.
Additionally, RCA plugs are coaxial designs (metal return/ground surrounding signal pin) that have an impedance effect. This impedance can have a varied and adverse impact on performance.
The new Bullet PlugŪ connector solves the problems of standard and audiophile grade RCA plugs by providing a faster, cleaner signal of high purity and detail.
To achieve this we have designed the Bullet PlugŪ as a miniature cable - with high-conductive, gold-plated tellurium copper (CuTe) pins providing a rapid transfer of electrons to/from RCA sockets.
In our patent-pending design, the return pin of the Bullet PlugŪ makes single point contact with the side wall of an RCA socket - concentrating electrons to one point thereby reducing distortion. This is a similar approach to "star earthing" used in amplifiers.

The quality of RCA plugs is easily overlooked in the context of an audio or home theater system. Yet RCA plugs can have a disproportionate and detrimental effect on the final performance.
This is easy to understand when you consider two points:
The delicate nature of the tiny, millivolt signals flowing in your interconnect, digital and video cables.
The number of times these delicate signals travel through low- conductive brass RCA plugs before reaching the amplifier.

Standard RCA plugs may interfere with the true 75-Ohm impedance of your digital and video cables due to impedance variation.
The Bullet PlugŪ has negligible impedance and takes on the true 75-Ohm impedance (or any other impedance value) of the cable itself.
Imagine baring the ends of your 75-Ohm cable and holding the bared wires up against the RCA socket. You would achieve a true 75-Ohm connection.
This is what happens when you use the Bullet PlugŪ connector.
Many (including audiophile grade locking varieties) become loose through vibration - causing capacitive type distortion and hum, and eventually complete loss of signal.
Others grip the RCA socket with such ferocity that they damage the socket. This can lead to oxidation, which will compromise the signal.
The Bullet PlugŪ is made from an engineering grade polymer that adjusts to the RCA socket for a firm, secure fit - yet is easy to disconnect. Once adjusted to the socket, the Bullet PlugŪ remains in place despite the most severe vibration.
