Belden RG6 Coax Broadband Cable 9116P 1000 Ft.Coax, 1 coax, 18 AWG, Solid BCCS - Bare Copper Covered Steel conductors, Foam FEP - Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene insulation, Bonded Aluminum Foil-Polyester Tape-Aluminum Foil (Bonded Duofoil) shield with 100% shield coverage plus aluminum Braid shield with 60% shield coverage, FA - Flamarrest jacket, 6/U RG Type. Applicable Specifications: UL Type CMP, CATVP. Flame Resistance: UL 910 Steiner Tunnel. Series 6 Plenum Coaxial Cable. DUOFOIL is a Belden registered trademark.
Belden has extended its CATV cable line-up by providing additional Series 59 and Series 6 NEC CATVP CMP and CEC CMP plenum-rated coax cables.
Advanced Shielding for Advanced Performance
These new CATV cables feature Belden's exclusive DuofoilŪ braid shield. This shield includes an inner layer of Duofoil, which is a laminated tape of foil/film/foil. This foil shield provides 100% coverage and ensures maximum shield protection.
In addition to using the Duofoil foil/film/foil tape, these cables also utilize an outer braid shield, for even greater protection against interference, and to increase the overall tensile strength of the cable.
Series 59 Performance Characteristics and Construction Details
Belden 9104P and 9108P are Series 59 coaxes with a 20 AWG copper-covered steel center conductor, foam FEP Teflon* insulation, and a FlamarrestŪ overall jacket.
Nominal impedance is 75 ohms, with a nominal capacitance of 16.5pF/foot, and a nominal velocity of propagation of 82%. Nominal attenuation is 2.6dB/100ft at 100MHz, and 9.4dB/100ft at 1GHz.
Both products utilize Belden's Duofoil foil/film/foil shield, with an additional overall braid shield. In Belden 9104P, this braid is 67%-coverage aluminum, with a DC resistance of 5.5 ohms per 1,000 feet. In Belden 9108P, the braid is 95%-coverage aluminum, with a DC resistance of 3.4 ohms per 1,000 feet.
Series 6 Performance Characteristics and Construction Details
Belden 9116P and 1530AP are Series 6 coaxes with an 18 AWG copper-covered steel center conductor, foam FEP Teflon insulation, and a Flamarrest overall jacket.
Nominal impedance is 75 ohms, with a nominal capacitance of 16.5pF/foot, and a nominal velocity of propagation of 82%. Nominal attenuation is 2.1dB/100ft at 100MHz, and 7.3dB/100ft at 1GHz.
Both products utilize Belden's Duofoil foil/film/foil shield, with an additional overall braid shield. In Belden 9116P, this braid is 60%-coverage aluminum, with a DC resistance of 5.4 ohms per 1,000 feet. In Belden 1530AP, the braid is 90%-coverage aluminum, with a DC resistance of 4.1 ohms per 1,000 feet.
Product Availability
These plenum-rated coax cables are available in standard 1000-foot lengths, in a choice of standard reel or UnReelŪ packaging.
Belden offers an extremely comprehensive line-up of additional coaxes for the CATV industry, including Series 59, 6, 7, and 11 products, in a variety of styles for indoor, aerial, and underground environments.
