Belden® Banana Peel composite cables feature a unique patentpending design that eliminates the need for an overall jacket, making these cables easy to handle, easy to identify, easy to pull and easy to terminate. Just peel the cables off the center spline, and you’re in business. And since the overall jacket has been eliminated, the outer diameter is smaller than other composite cables, improving the overall bend radius for easier installation. UL-verified Banana Peel cable is available in two configurations: the 2 x 2 version has two Category 5e UTP data cables and two coax cables; the 2 x 2 x 2 format adds two fiber optic cables to the 2 x 2 design. The data cables utilize either a Bonded-Pair construction — a construction that demonstrates superior electrical performance both before and after installation (Installable Performance™) — or an unbonded cable construction. The Series 6 coaxes feature Belden’s innovative, high performance Duobond Plus® shielding or Belden’s Duobond® IV Quad Shield. The LANLite® Ethernet grade fiber cables are 62.5 micron tight buffered constructions.
